Champaign council expected to approve property tax levy
CHAMPAIGN – The city council is expected to give final approval Tuesday to a $20.3 million property-tax levy.
The levy, on taxes payable next summer, would cost the owner of a $150,000 home about $16 more in city property taxes than what that same owner paid this past summer, if the home's value did not increase.
