Rantoul aims to avoid increasing property tax levy in 2009

RANTOUL – The Rantoul Village Board is giving the taxpayers of the community an early Christmas present.

Village Administrator Bruce Sandahl surprised the audience attending Tuesday's village study session by announcing that the village will seek no increase to its tax levy over the amount of property taxes extended this year.
