Rantoul man convicted of sex abuse
URBANA – A Champaign County jury Wednesday convicted a Rantoul man of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for having a developmentally delayed teenager touch him inappropriately.
Carlos Montejo, 28, of the 1200 block of Magnolia Drive was tried in his absence Tuesday and Wednesday. He was present when a jury was picked Monday but didn't show up for the rest of the trial before Judge Heidi Ladd.
