Two pesos bring Salvation Army gold coin total to three
CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign County Salvation Army received two more gold coins in one of its red kettles last weekend, bringing this season's total to three.
The coins were dropped Saturday into a kettle at the County Market at Kirby Avenue and Duncan Road. That's the same location where someone dropped in an Austrian gold coin less than a week earlier, on Nov. 24.
