Savoy takes steps to grow westward
SAVOY – The village set itself up Wednesday night to expand westward, with the unanimous approval of two pre-annexation agreements with Dick Burwash, the property owner of two plats of land near Duncan Road.
The first consists of 126.6 acres of land surrounding the Savoy United Methodist Church, located on the corner of Old Church Street and Duncan Road. The second plat consists of 78.63 acres of land just northwest of the first plat.
