Children use teacher's memorial to share their feelings
CHAMPAIGN – The bulletin board in the hallway at Garden Hills Elementary School is covered with letters surrounding Venita Hubbard's picture. So is the table below it, along with a vase full of red roses.
Written by students, some are thank-you notes to Mrs. Hubbard, a third-grade teacher at the school who was killed in a car accident Monday morning.
