Frerichs says he'll push impeachment if governor won't resign
One area legislator today called on Rod Blagojevich to step down and clear the way for someone else to appoint a new U.S. senator for the state.
"I don't know anyone who would want to be appointed by the governor now," said state Sen. Mike Frerichs, D-Champaign. "I think he should do the honorable thing and resign."
