$5 million bond stands for woman accused in fatal crash
URBANA – Hearing that a rural Champaign woman involved in a fatal collision Friday has had prior police contacts for her drunkenness, a Champaign County judge let her $5 million bond stand.
Judge Rich Klaus ordered that if Elizabeth Drewes were to raise the $500,000 cash she needs to win her release from jail, she must wear an ankle bracelet that monitors her alcohol intake.
