Rabies clinics in Vermilion County to start April 11

DANVILLE – The Vermilion County Animal Regulation department will hold a series of rabies clinics around the county beginning April 11.

Rabies vaccinations are $16 per animal. License tags are $7 for a cat and $11 for a dog if they have been spayed or neutered. Otherwise, license tags are $10 for a cat and $15 for a dog.

The shelter will also offer a Micro-Chip Clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 2 at the shelter. The cost to microchip a dog or cat is $15 each. Proof of rabies vaccination and a tag must be provided in order to have the micro-chip installed.

Times, dates, locations are as follows:

April 11:

– 9 to 10:30 a.m. Rankin fire station.

– 9 to 11 a.m. Potomac water plant.

– 12:30 to 2 p.m. Ridge Farm's Ward Park.

April 18:

– 9 to 10:30 a.m. Catlin Park.

– 9:30 to 11 a.m. Georgetown city garage.

– 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Westville's Zamberletti Park.

– 1 to 2:30 p.m. Fithian community building.

April 25:

– 9 to 10 a.m. Indianola Village Hall.

– 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tilton fire station.

– 10 to 11:30 a.m. Bismarck fire station.

– 11 a.m. to noon Sidell fire station.

May 2:

– 10 to 11 a.m. Fairmount fire station.

– Noon to 1:30 p.m. Rossville old fire station on Attica Street.

– 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vermilion County Animal Shelter, 14776 Catlin-Tilton Road.

– 12:30 to 2 p.m. Oakwood fire station.
