Lawyers question Champaign judge's handling of DUI cases
URBANA – A Champaign County judge's rejection of court supervision for two men who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence for the first time comes as no surprise to their attorneys.
Nonetheless, a written ruling issued Wednesday by Judge Chase Leonhard has the local defense bar talking, and not necessarily in the most charitable terms, about his interpretation of the law.
