Cornbelt trustees approve using METCAD for dispatches
MAHOMET – When firefighters from Cornbelt Fire Protection District head out to an emergency, they'll soon have a chance to get there faster.
Cornbelt's board of trustees unanimously voted Wednesday to let METCAD handle its dispatches, in order to cut down on the time between when a call comes in and firefighters are alerted.
