Philo safety panel members drafting golf cart proposal
PHILO – Golf carts could be hitting the streets of Philo – legally – come spring.
The village board Wednesday directed safety committee members Dan Ault and Alta Tarter to come up with a plan for an ordinance allowing the vehicles on Philo streets. State law says that golf carts cannot be operated on any street or highway unless a city, township or county authorizes their use on certain roadways.
