Semi overturns on I-57; southbound lanes reopened
CHAMPAIGN — Southbound traffic on Interstate 57 began moving again Wednesday afternoon as police worked to clear away a semitrailer truck that blew over on the highway.
No injuries were reported after the truck overturned about 2 p.m. near Thomasboro, blocking both southbound lanes of I-57. About 40 minutes later, one lane of traffic began moving.
Both lanes have since reopened.
