Monticello man arrested with gun, drugs near former air base

RANTOUL – A Monticello man is in jail tonight after Rantoul police were called out near the former Chanute Air Force Base for a report of shots fired in the area.

Police arrested Christopher A. Hollingsworth, 21, for unlawful possession of cannabis over 30 grams, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and armed violence.
