Single-administrator plan gets support from Dems
URBANA – Democratic members of the Champaign County Board are ready to move ahead on plans to return to a single county administrator, which leaves a question of what happens to a co-holder of the post if the other is chosen.
In a caucus meeting Tuesday night at the Brookens Center in Urbana, the Democrats agreed by consensus to reaffirm a resolution passed a year ago to have a single administrator instead of two. Debra Busey and Denny Inman serve as co-administrators. Their contracts expire Nov. 30.
