Champaign apartment building damaged in afternoon fire
CHAMPAIGN – A fire caused an estimated $10,000 damage to a Champaign building late Thursday afternoon.
According to a Champaign Fire Department report, firefighters were called to a blaze at a three-story apartment unit at 2003 W. John St., Champaign, at 4:04 p.m. When firefighters arrived four minutes later, they found fire showing on the exterior of the building.
