Fundraiser set for families of EIU students killed in crash
CHARLESTON – The Eastern Illinois University Asian-American Association is planning a fundraiser to help families of three EIU graduate students from India who were killed in a two-vehicle accident near St. Louis on Saturday.
Graduate students Anusha Anumolu, 23, Anitha Lakshmi Veerapaneni, 23, and Priya Darshini Muppavarapu, 22, and Miss Veerapaneni's cousin, Satya Chinta, 25, of Aurora, were all dead at the scene, according to a police report.
