Legislators differ on closure of agency's Paxton office
Two state legislators have different responses to the announcement earlier this week that the state intends to close a Department of Human Services field office in Paxton.
State Sen. Dan Rutherford, R-Chenoa, said the state appears to be doing all it can to continue serving clients while cutting costs. The Paxton office is one of 17 in small counties around the state that is being closed.
