Stimulus funds to help more people weatherize homes
URBANA – If you've been waiting to replace that inefficient furnace or those drafty windows, now may be the time.
The amount of federal money available for a home-weatherization program targeted at lower-income households is expected to skyrocket over the next year and a half, through the economic stimulus package and federal investments in sustainability.
