Police found no laws broken in sale, resale of UI's old trucks
The University of Illinois has cut back on directly selling old trucks to a local recycler after an internal investigation, The News-Gazette has learned.
The university has sold scrapped trucks to Mack's Twin City Recycling Services in Urbana, and some of those trucks later were sold to UI employees, according to a News-Gazette review of documents obtained from the university and the Illinois secretary of state's office.
