Prussing re-elected Urbana mayor by large margin
URBANA – Despite being outspent roughly 2 to 1 by her Republican challenger, Democrat Laurel Prussing easily won a second term as mayor Tuesday, beating three challengers.
Prussing received 53 percent of the vote Tuesday to 32 percent for Rex Bradfield, a Republican. Green Party candidate Durl Kruse polled 8 percent and independent Rob McColley, 6 percent.
