Nursing home employee accused of hitting resident
URBANA – Champaign County sheriff's deputies Wednesday arrested an employee of the Champaign County Nursing Home for allegedly hitting a resident who has Alzheimer's disease.
Champaign County sheriff's Lt. Ed Ogle said Sharoia D. Hill, 28, of Danville, was arrested at the nursing home in Urbana for aggravated battery to a senior citizen for hitting an 87-year-old man who is resident of the Alzheimer's unit in the face with a closed fist. She remained in the county jail Thursday morning pending an afternoon appearance in arraignment court.
