Nurse assistant accused of abuse at county nursing home
URBANA – A Champaign County nursing home employee accused of hitting a resident suffering from Alzheimer's disease is due back in court May 19.
Sharoia D. Hill, 28, of Danville, was arraigned Thursday in Champaign County Circuit Court on two counts of aggravated battery, alleging that on Wednesday evening she struck an 87-year-old man in the face with a fist while she was working.
