Champaign County school districts champing at new bits
Champaign school officials didn't waste any time planning for the sales-tax money they'll receive starting next year.
On Tuesday night, voters approved the countywide sales tax for school facilities, and by Wednesday morning, school board President Dave Tomlinson and Superintendent Arthur Culver were creating an oversight committee to monitor how the money is spent. They already have several potential members for the Promises Made, Promises Kept committee, Tomlinson said.
