Champaign council to rethink decision on agency grants
CHAMPAIGN – A city council decision to end grants to local social service agencies next fiscal year could be reversed Tuesday night.
The city council will consider Tuesday, in study session, a staff recommendation to set aside a total of $300,000 for the next two fiscal years to provide social service grants and to fund neighborhood improvement initiatives like the youth pilot program in the Garden Hills neighborhood.
