Danville residents say sewer project a long time coming
DANVILLE – Eva Abbott hopes the sewer-replacement project that starts today in the area of Walnut, Franklin and Oak streets stops water from backing up into her basement during long, heavy rains.
"I think the sewer system has been bad for a long, long time," said Abbott, who has lived in the 1300 block of Oak Street for 18 years and is accustomed to water flooding her basement when it rains heavily.
