Officials: We have no choice but to enforce law on sales of baked goods
CHAMPAIGN – The director of the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District said she doesn't know why the public health district hasn't been, until now, enforcing state requirements that baked goods sold to the public at farmer's markets must be produced out of a certified kitchen.
But once department officials realized the oversight, they had no choice, said Julie Pryde, director of the health district.
