Life Remembered: Mentor gave UI athletes firm guidance

Josie Rahn was retired after 25 years of teaching when a friend from church, former Illini football coach Lou Tepper, asked her to offer some guidance to a talented young player.

The young man was Simeon Rice, and Mrs. Rahn was unlike anyone he had met.
