Life Remembered: Woman helped start theater group

CHAMPAIGN – Diane Pritchard recently was thinking about the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" and drawing parallels between its lead, George Bailey, and Champaign's Kathy Murphy.

"I don't think there would be a Champaign Urbana Theatre Company without Kathy Murphy," Pritchard said. "There were many, many people involved in the forming of the theater company, but she always seemed to be at the center of it."
