UI police drug sweep hits campus; 25 arrests
URBANA – University of Illinois police are continuing to look for people involved in the use and distribution of drugs on campus.
Lt. Roy Acree said by Friday afternoon, 25 people had been arrested for a variety of drug-related crimes, ranging from low-level misdemeanor cannabis possession on up to serious felony charges alleging the sale of controlled substances. Of that number, 21 are UI students.
