Georgetown swears in new aldermen, city officials
GEORGETOWN – Six city officials were sworn into office by the Vermilion County Clerk on Monday, joining four remaining city council members and one open seat.
Lynn Foster administered the oath of office to incoming Mayor Dennis Lucas and incoming aldermen Tom Seilhymer and Wilma Wilming, who were elected last month. Foster also swore in three of Lucas' appointments for open posts that no one ran for in the election – Cathy Jenkins as alderwoman, Sherry Serd as treasurer and Cheryl Pearman as clerk. A Ward 4 alderman seat remains open.
