Rantoul police warn of scam
RANTOUL – Police are warning Rantoul residents about a man who has been going door-to-door soliciting money to allegedly keep his car from being impounded.
"This scam artist has been going door to door in recent weeks, targeting elderly persons," said Rantoul Police Sgt. Sean Arie. "He tells the senior citizens that he knows them, and he often comes up with their names.
