Champaign County Courthouse energy savings proposal OK'd
URBANA – A Champaign County Board committee Tuesday approved a plan to reduce energy consumption in the courthouse complex and OK'd budget amendments for more work on the courthouse and grounds.
The plan to "de-lamp" the courthouse complex will save at least 20 cents per square foot per year, according to Denny Inman, a county co-administrator. The courthouse encloses about 500,000 square feet.
