Danville using GPS to paint complete picture of streets
DANVILLE – City employee Angie Stenson has been riding her bike lately like it's her job.
Actually, it has been her job for the last two weeks.
Stenson has pedaled up and down city streets inputting data, like the location of city bus stops, into a global positioning system device.
When Stenson is finished, the information she recorded can be illustrated graphically, on a map for example, using the city's geographic information system computer software.
