Experts: Media have overplayed flu danger
As concerns about swine flu decline in the U.S., Gail Scherba said the media have probably overplayed the level of danger.
A professor of pathobiology in the University of Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, Scherba has dealt with swine and influenza, separately or together, throughout her career. While pathologists take precautions, she said, they're not overly concerned about contracting diseases from the pigs they work on.
