Champaign police warn of scam
CHAMPAIGN – Police are warning the public about a scam that has been targeting senior citizens in Champaign.
Champaign Police spokeswoman Rene Dunn said a 73-year-old man reported he was approached by a man on a bicycle on April 30. The bicyclist told the man the "front end fell off" his car and that he needed $55 to have the vehicle towed.
