Savoy veterans memorial will get new landscaping
SAVOY – The veterans memorial is still seeing changes and support from the community even though it has been completed for nearly six months, according to village Trustee Bill Smith, who has headed the project since its beginning.
In the next few weeks, bricks that were bought in the winter months and could not be installed will be laid down, and the Savoy Garden Friends will be out planting boxwoods and roses around the memorial site – on the corner of Dunlap and Tomaras avenues at the northeast corner of the Savoy Municipal Center lot.
