Former DeWitt deputy circuit clerk arrested
CLINTON – A former DeWitt County deputy circuit clerk has been arrested on charges of stealing more than $100,000, a Class X felony, and official misconduct, a Class 3 felony.
DeWitt County State's Attorney Richard Koritz said Susan Stevens had served as the deputy clerk in charge of all bookkeeping for the circuit clerk's office and was in charge of making deposits of money received by the department.
