Illinois State Fair announces grandstand lineup

SPRINGFIELD (AP) – Three former "American Idol" competitors are among the acts heading to Springfield this summer to perform on the grandstand at the Illinois State Fair.

The first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, is slated to perform Saturday, Aug. 15. Her hits include "Miss Independent" and "Since U Been Gone."
