Life Remembered: Artist was 'Brian Wilson of his generation'
URBANA – Neil Young once sang that, for rock musicians, it's "better to burn out, than it is to rust." The saying embodies the life of Jay Bennett.
At 45, Mr. Bennett had already played with and been fired from a nationally famous band, Wilco. He also played in local bands such as Steve Pride & His Blood Kin and Titanic Love Affair.
