UI police investigating street robbery

URBANA – University of Illinois police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on campus late Saturday night that could be related to one that happened shortly after in an Urbana residential neighborhood.

Sometime between 11 and 11:20 p.m., a man walking alone in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Urbana near the Stock Pavilion was approached by someone who asked for money while holding what appeared to be a handgun.
