Planning commission chief likens agency to corporation
URBANA – Cameron Moore said an outside auditor told him recently that his job is closer to private enterprise than to government.
"He told me, 'What you guys are really doing here is running a medium-sized corporation,'" Moore recalls. "I thought that was pretty apt."
Moore is the chief executive officer of the most entrepreneurial of all local governments, the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission.
