Georgetown superintendent ending 27 years with district
GEORGETOWN – Kevin Tate is retiring on June 30 after 27 years with the Georgetown-Ridge Farm school district, the last 13 of them as superintendent. He has accomplished many goals, but is leaving one unmet.
"I thought that when I got into education, I would teach high school math," Tate said. "But the jobs that were available when I entered the field were at the junior-high level. I never did teach high school math."
