Faulty wiring blamed in Villa Grove house fire
VILLA GROVE – Faulty electrical wiring is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a house and displaced its residents late Friday night in Villa Grove.
The fire started in the second story of the home at 12 N. Walnut St. Flames were shooting from the windows when firefighters arrived on the scene, according to 2nd Lt. Donald Patton of the Villa Grove Fire Department.
