State officials say they will refile DUI charge on Allhands
DANVILLE – Vermilion County prosecutors said they plan to refile a driving-under-the-influence charge against Ryan Allhands after it was dropped last week because of speedy-trial requirements.
Allhands, 23, of Danville, faces murder charges in the July 2, 2006, death of 2 1/2-year-old Reagan Williams.
He had been out on bond awaiting trial when he was arrested early in the morning on Sept. 28, 2008, in Westville for speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. About a week later, a judge increased his bond to $1.5 million for violating the terms of his original bond by drinking alcohol.
