Champaign City Council OKs vehicle Impoundment fee
CHAMPAIGN – People whose vehicles are impounded for various offenses in Champaign will now have to pay $250 to get them back.
Council members approved an ordinance imposing the fee by a vote of 5-3 on Tuesday night, with council members Michael La Due, Will Kyles and Tom Bruno opposed. Voting for the measure were Mayor Jerry Schweighart and council members Dave Johnson, Marci Dodds, Deb Feinen and Karen Foster.
