UI professor using SUV to build 3-D model of campus
Students do, from time to time, visit their former teachers.
But they don't often come bearing the kind of gift that John Hart's former student did: an SUV loaded with some serious computer equipment.
OK, it's a loaner.
But still, Hart, a University of Illinois computer science professor, got to drive around campus in ways that would get most of us arrested – "We got all sorts of looks" driving down the Quad, he said – and his students should have some fun this fall.
