Water-valve work to close lane of Neil near downtown
CHAMPAIGN – One lane of Neil Street just south of downtown will be closed for two days this week as workers from Illinois American Water patch some water valves.
Ronald Hartke, network operations supervisor for Illinois American Water, said one of the two southbound lanes of Neil Street between White Street and Springfield Avenue will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Southbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane.
