Workshop scheduled on basics of using Twitter

If you're interested in using Twitter but aren't sure how to get started, the Champaign Public Library has a workshop that can help.

A Tech Talk next week will focus on teaching Twitter to beginners. It's scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library's Busey Computer Room.

News-Gazette staff writer Meg Thilmony will teach the workshop. You can set up your own Twitter account, learn how to use it and hear how to make the most of the micro-blogging service.

Registration is required – those interested in coming should call 403-2070.

Tech Talks is a series of free programs at the library designed to demystify new gadgets and Web resources in a friendly atmosphere where novices are welcome. Each presentation lasts an hour, with time for individual questions afterward.
