Hit-and-run accident reported in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating at hit-and-run accident Tuesday afternoon in Champaign.
According to a police report, a small boy was riding a bicycle near Mattis Avenue and Bradley Avenue at 2:47 p.m. when he was struck by a white Buick LeSabre.
According to police spokeswoman Rene Dunn, a witness said the bicyclist had to be pulled out from under the car.
When police arrived at the scene, both the bicyclist and the driver had left the scene, Dunn said.
